Sketch Up Models

I use sketch up not to create finished designs but as a tool to experiment with shapes quickly. 

It is a great program to use shape but also it keeps you thinking of scale and more importantly the camera.

Here i was playing around with landscape shapes for the fantasy world in David Eddings 'Belgariad'.

I used these dramatic images of basalt rock formations as inspiration for shapes.

Then i would apply these shapes into sketch up
